Creating a temporary blog with up to date satellite images of the northern areas. Hope this will help in the coordination and relief efforts. The maps have current roads, relief team locations, and population saturation points. I will keep posting these images in the coming hours.

In addition, people can use Google Maps and Google Earth to navigate through much of the northern areas and plan accordingly. Google Earth can be downloaded for FREE from http://earth.google.com. You can download them and view them on Google Earth as overlays. [courtesy Zia Syed]

1- High res satellite images

http://bbs.keyhole.com/ubb/z0302a1700/pk-2.kmz (Islamabad and Pindi)

These images are not integrated into the map and you need to click on each red dot and then click on Load link to load the image.

This data was made available by the voluntary effort of people in the Google Earth team.
